| Flying |
A unit with the Flying ability can move over other units and move by 2 hexes. |
| Ranged |
A unit with the Ranged ability can attack other units within 4 hexes. |
| Fast |
A unit with the Fast ability can move by 2 hexes. |
| Rush |
A unit with the Rush ability can attack enemy units or hero on the same turn they were summoned. |
| First Strike |
A unit with the First Strike ability attacks first and, if it kills an enemy unit, does not receive damage. |
| Taunt |
A unit with the Taunt ability provokes adjacent enemy units to attack it. |
| Stun |
A unit with the Stun ability stuns the target unit when it attacks. Stunned units can’t move or attack on the next turn. |
| Armor 1 |
A unit with the Armor 1 ability reduces incoming damage by 1. |
| Fear 1 |
A unit with the Fear 1 ability decreases the attack of adjacent enemy units by 1 when played. |
Card Abilities are special powers or effects of a card in addition to its basic skills or functions. Card Abilities are associated with unit cards and are described by one or two word phrases. Even though abilities are associated with unit cards, they can also be granted by spells.
Legends of Elysium features a range of unique card abilities. Abilities may provide ongoing effects to units, or may be triggered in response to certain events. If a card has abilities, they are listed in the beginning of the card description using one or two keyword phrases such as: Flying, Ranged, First Strike. A unit card can have multiple abilities associated with it.
Keywords for card abilities
Card Abilities in Legends of Elysium are described by keyword phrases printed on cards, which specify their unique traits or behavior without any explicit explanation. Hovering over a unit card with a keyword ability will generate a tooltip describing that ability. Certain new expansions can introduce new mechanics to the gameplay and add new keyword abilities that come with their release and are associated with released cards.
